Hi There, I'm Akhilesh Adithya
I am an undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Computer Science Engineering. My scripting skills include proficiency in Python, JavaScript, React, THREE.js, and Bash. My research interests include Bio-inspired vision, HCI, and NLP/DL.
Apart from my academic pursuits, I have a deep passion for reading. I enjoy exploring various genres, but I am particularly drawn to books of Western and East-Asian origin.

eBay, Bangalore
Intern January 2023 - June 2023
As a member of the Trust Strategy and Organization team, I contributed to policy enforcement at eBay by constructing models that analyzed the freeform text data to identify patterns. My tasks encompassed the following:
- Creating rule-based regular expression (regex) models to detect patterns of unwanted behavior within the freeform text data
- Developing and fine-tuning transformer-based Natural Language Processing (NLP) models using PyTorch.
- Significantly improving the catch rate by up to 62% through the implementation of automated actioning and policy enforcement.
IBM India Software Labs, Bangalore
Summer Intern May 2022 - August 2022
Worked with a team of 3 interns in the extremeblue program to develop an intelligent solution to provision and monitor "green" data centers effectively.
My responsibilities included:
- Creating REST apis to help the communication between the client side and server side module
- Developing the client side plugin using React and IBM Carbon design system
- Working on building the AI based model to recognise green data centers and the algorithm to score the "greenness" of the data centers
- Building a simulator that simulated data center and use conditions
- Working in a CI/CD environment in an AGILE approach

I got interested in linux at this point. Started distro hopping and playing with some basic kernel stuff.
Also got introduced to the world of custom roms and rooting in android phones. This sorta gave me the push
to take up computer science as my major.

This is where I learnt the basics of Programming and how computers actually worked. Most of my messy
practical knowledge was fused together with structured theoretical knowledge and this made me more confident
to pursue a career in the field of Computer Science
2019-2023
Birla Institute of Science and Technology, Goa
This was when I was introduced to computer science as well as developement. Some of my seniors were really
helpful and got me on track. This was also when I learnt about FOSS and was influenced by it's ideology. I learnt
web development and react through the offcial docs. I also learnt about AI/ML and neural networks. I was fascinated by
the way neural networks work and their wide range of applications. I am currently working on malware analysis using ML, Bio-inspired vision and HCI.
